John McCarty, Young Alumni Chair, University of Pennsylvania

John is a Senior Investment Officer with Roswell Capital Partners, an Atlanta-based hedge fund, where he is responsible for sourcing, executing and managing growth capital investments for the fund. Prior to Roswell, John was a Vice President with Peachtree Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based private equity firm. John was formerly an investment banker with The Breckenridge Group in Atlanta and CSFB/DLJ and Banc of America Securities in New York.

John is active with the Penn Club of Atlanta, Penn Secondary School Committee, and heads the Atlanta chapter of Wharton Private Equity Partners, an alumni organization for graduates in the private equity and venture capital industries. John graduated from Penn in 1999 with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School.
