Roger’s IBM career began in their Development Laboratories in Poughkeepsie, NY, developing large computer application systems for major industry applications such as flight simulation, stock market systems, and vehicular traffic control.
In field sales he successfully designed, proposed and installed systems and applications with prospects and customers in multiple industries. These included both business systems and real-time, on-line plant testing and control systems in which he was promoted to a sub-branch manager. In Data Processing headquarters marketing, he was responsible for large automotive and aerospace national account teams marketing plans development.
He was on assignment 3 years at the Munich, Germany, Manufacturing Industrial International Marketing Center, and 3 years in London, England, responsible for forecasting software application sales for 5 European development laboratories.
Roger as instrumental in several breakthrough IBM marketing policies such as software sales, multiples pricing, value added re-marketing products, and business partner software development.
After 31 years with IBM, Roger has helped corporations with product and marketing strategies, marketing implementation, and sales. He has located funding for business equipment leases, construction, and land development.
He provides representation for, and direct assistance to, the working poor and homeless in Cobb County. He is a former director of the Buckhead Rotary Club, former trustee of a small church in Marietta, GA, board of directors member and former president of the Atlanta Harvard Club, and co-president of Team Ivy Organization. For leisure he enjoys piloting small aircraft and photography, meeting new people, and staying in touch with his Ivy colleagues.
